It acts like it's gonna turn on and then it reboots all over again doing a disk check and it does the same thing when we try to start it in safe mode as well. Somebody please help! :(

The way I installed was by using that upgrade I posted a link to.
What I did was I ran the upgrade and then it told me that I needed to
have Vaio Zone installed, but before I clicked ok:

    1. Make sure you can see hidden files.
    2. Check your Temp folder "C:\Documents and Settings\ YOUR-USERNAME\Local Settings\Temp"
    3. Look for a folder called pft XX.tmp, I think the folder changes its name but it starts with pft and ends with .tmp.
    4. Copy to the desktop by right-clicking it and selecting copy.
    5. Now click okay on the VAIO Zone 1.2 Upgrade.
    6. Open the pft folder on your desktop and look for a folder called "VAIOEnt"
run the setup and it should install.
    7. You should now be able to run the VAIO Zone 1.2 Upgrade and install the rest of the software and it should ask you to restart.

I did all this and it seems to work fine. If anybody knows a better way to install it or has the original file, please let me know.

SHOULD be able to get it from the download page for your machine...if not then the utility package for the computer model should have it.

good luck...down load the original utility package then apply the update.

    Thank you, MxMoney

Anybody who is missing the VAIO Entertainment Platform, it should be available at sony's website
    http://esupport.sony.com/

Just look for your model and you should be able to install it without problems.

    Thanks wuruoyu,
I was looking for the full installation kit for a while now. I installed this in XP and it installs fine. It does not check your version or anything!
