    Hello,

Yesterday my official power adaptor stopped working (the green led didn't light),
but my vaio vgn-fz19vn still worked on battery. So i bought a Trust 90w power unit comptatible to my laptop. I set the voltage (my laptop needs 19,5 v and 3.9A) and connected the laptop with the unit, but it still wouldn't work. The unit also has a led on top, but it won't shine either. And the sockets have electricity for sure :p So, what do you think it is? Is it possible that my laptop "burns" the units somehow? As long as it functions perfectly on battery, i really don't know what to guess...

P.S, i also tried the unit on a compatible fujitsu amilo, but it wouldn't work either. ( but after having tried it on my vaio first).
    I'd really appreciate your help!
    Mike

It is VERY unlikely that your laptop is ruining the AC adapters. You either have a bad outlet or bad luck ;)
