    hi all

i have an vgn-ar51j running windows 7 with 4g ram and there is a major graphics display issue that i cannot seem to solve!

basically as soon as i boot i get red lines of equal spacing running down the screen with the 7 logo animating fine over these. then when it goes to the desk top the resolution is incredibly low and i am unable to reset. at first i put it down to faulty graphics card or driver but when i put into safe mode and came back out all was well i could even play movies on the T.V. but once i shutdown and rebooted the problem comes back!

i have tried a reinstall and this has made no difference has anyone seen this before and is it fixable?

    any advice would be great.

    many thanks
