hi I have a vgn tx3hp/w that has lost both its hdd and dvd drives, neither show in bios and of course it will not boot.
I can boot it with an external usb dvd drive or a usb floppy.
does anyone have a copy of the old bios for this that I can use with phlash in dos,
the only ones available from sony now are all windows based and I cannot use them.
or does anyone know what key combination to use to get the phoenix emergency bios recovery to work
or how to get it to boot from an external hdd, I got it to boot once to an external hdd but not sure how I did it

    Thanks

    Andy

Ok I managed to get it to boot and flashed the bios but that did not fix the problem, so it looks like the motherboard is faulty,
does anyone have a spare motherboard for a vgn tx3hp laying around or know where I can get one.

    Cheers
