Hi, I want the original Vista install disks that should come with computers, but my new vaio didn't have any. I looked for a recovery center using the "search" function thats in the start menu, but I found nothing of the sort. I have discovered a recovery partition on my hard drive, but I do not know if I can make disks from that. If this is possible, are those the same install disks that restore my computer to factory settings?

They are not really "Vista install" disks, but yes, VAIO Recovery Center can creates a set of 2 DVDs that recover your system to factory status, from the data stored in the recovery partition.

Burning my DVD right now... ;)

btw - if you click "Help and Support" in the Start Menu, you will get a window that has a "Backup & Recovery" option - click that icon and there should be a Recovery option at the bottom.
