I own a sony vgn-fz38m that always have been a trouble machine so long as i have had it. I have tryed fixx an recovery disk but the computer never allowed me to do that. Several friends tryed to help me without succes. 2 weeks before christmas the harddrive crashed so i turned the comp in for repair. 4 weeks later i got back the computer. It works good except 1 thing. The SD card reader dont work. I suspect i need somekind of a driver to get it to work so i tryed to find it on sonys webpage without succes. Anyone here who know what i have to do to fixx this problem?

Does the SD memory card reader show up in "Device Manager"? What do you mean when you say it doesn't work? Does it show up in Windows Explorer? Does it give you some sort of error? What lead you to think you need a driver? (You may very well need one, just curious what made you think so.) If you do the pointer that UserofFZ21Z, should give you what you need.

And to answer ScuderiaConchiglia so do i mean the port that is placed left of the tuchpad there you can put in example the memorycard from the mobilephone. When i put in the card nothing happen at all. It uselly should show up on screen and a little green light right beside the port use to light to. But now so dosent anything at all happen. When i enter the program i downloaded i clicked on uminst icon but nothing happend. :(

what i did was i went in on device manager. I noticed it was 1 yellow marked item called unknown unit there. I clicked it and managed to install the memory reader driver on that unit. then it worked.

Im sorry for my kinda bad english. English is not my main language. but i hope you get the picture anyway.
