Hello, my friend brought me a Vaio yesterday, the drivers for video has been deleted and probably many others as he said he wanted to clean it, and deleted all kinds of stuff... He is not familiar with files and stuff... Anyway, the screen goes blank after booting windows, and then i can type the password and get in with a blank screen. I have an xp CD but after loading it either said no hard drive found or something or that there was some partition with 2 gigs on it, and there is nothing else... Please advise on how to format the hard drive and all partitions so that I could try to install XP on it...

Thanks in advance! p.s. before the video drivers were deleted the screen would only show a maximum resolution that didn't fill the whole display. No higher option was available... please help me fix this laptop.
