I just picked up a Sony BX670P laptop and the batteries it calls for are:

    1 hour battery: vgp-bps4a
    2 hour battery: vgp-bpl4a

I noticed there is a vgp-bpl4 and vgp-bpls4 that are listed for the AX/BX series as well. It seems the amperage is just a little less. I called Sony and they gave me a standard it won't work answer which I don't really believe. Does anyone have any knowledge or experience to answer whether these batteries (vgp-bpl4 and vgp-bps4) can be used when the spec'd battery is a vgp-bpl4a or vgp-bps4a? They look the same and I'm thinking they would work but would like to know if anyone has tried yet.

I also noticed that the docking station mentions the vgp-bpl4 and vgp-bps4 and since it has a battery charger and charges these, they can't be too different and I'm thinking it would work...?

    Thanks.
