I have a Vaio VGN-SZ61XN laptop (with a vgp-vcc7webcam) and
installed Windows 7.
I have been reading all sorts of forums but none of the solutions
to install the vgp-vcc7 webcam have worked with Skype or Windows
Live Messenger.
Can anyone help?
I urgently need to use my webcam with Skype
-
You need to install the original Vista Webcam driver that came with your model.

Thank you very much for the prompt response.
I have done this, the installation works fine, but
Skype still produces the following error message:
Your webcam isn't supported by Skype. Try upgrading
your drivers or change to Skype Certified webcam
Any ideas on how to sort this out? Hasn't anyone written
a new driver for Windows 7?
Cheers

Sony doesn't provide Windows 7 drivers for older models. The 32-bit Vista driver should work fine, unless you didn't install the driver properly.

Take a look ar Leslieann's guide if you haven't done this
