    i'm sorry for starting this useless thread, but i've found the z keyboard, even after washing my hands, are pronge to fingerprint oils and stuff like that...

    just a thought.. :cool:

    they have some silicone covers for they keyboard at SonyStyle stores

    my keys are shiny now, i don't really like the look of them very much T_T
    if i could go back in time, probably would have put a cover on the keyboard, preventing fingerprints plus wearing..

    its not that bad for me, after a few times of usage, itll probably show but i clean my laptop everyweek

    once they wear out, doesn't that mean they would be shiny aka more noticeable o-o unless vaio z/s keyboard textures are different

    Right... that's the way to go - put your 2000 bucks notebook in a plastic bag or better not use it at all :) You bought it to use it, didn't you ----> when you use something it wears out :)

    They get more shiny themselves. The backlit Z keys have the same finish as the S backlit keys.

    True but I guess it's just personal thing where I hate the look of shiny keyboards. ;)
