I tried it two ways.
1)I did the upgrade. While thing went as smooth as I thought it would. BUT I would get BSOD whenever I used the ***m buttons. The astericks is the letters "Z-O-O" I have no idea why it thinks that's a bad word.
2)I did a clean installation. Not as smooth. It installed the business edition, then I had to rerun the dvd and it tried to install all the vaio stuff. A few HOURS later it finally finished installing. Now it tells me my battery isn't working right and I need to hibernate. And no matter how many times I reboot, it tells me that. And I noticed that wifi didn't work. it thought the hardware switch was set to off, which it wasn't.
So I'm doing a system restore now, and going to try a upgrade again. The first time it had all my junk on it, so maybe that was part of the issue. dunno.

Did it. it worked! Whew. Only thing that I see that bothers me is my cpu is normally above 20% in use.

If you do the upgrade from XP to Windows Vista. you don't need to run the above package. -
