I just did a clean install for my brother on his vpcf236fm and installed all the drivers but the FN keys don't work.

On his laptop's drivers download page there is no download for the VAIO Event Service, but I tried installing it from another notebook and it still doesn't make the FN keys work

    how to solve this mystery?

    pls help

Having done quite a few fresh installations on Sony laptops over the years; did the Sony Esupport site state the drivers need to be installed in a specific order or they wont work properly?
    This could be your problem.

The fn keys are model specific. Copying them from another model will not do.

Have you searched for the clean install guide for your model? That's where these instructions usually are.
