Is it just me, or just this seem questionable:

Looks fishy, I would say to stay away from the seller, but looks like a **** nice laptop none the less.

There are two laptops for sale?
but it seems like not match his answer.

Take it , if it under $1000. Paypal has $1000 buyer protection!

Q: Do you have the laptop in hand? What's the reason for sell? Thanks! Sep-29-08
A: in hand, bought 3 for small business, found out only needed 2. We had to downsize since placing order.

Be careful with this guy, he has only sold 2 cheap things ever. Rest of his feedback is as a buyer. Could be a scam.

No one answered the op's original question lol!

I believe the Z17 is the Japanese version of the Z, that's all.

Someone pls correct me if I am wrong, though....

I actually bid on the listing up to $2150. But that is before I read this thread. The seller is most likely a scammer...

he wouldn't return my message or show proof he owns a Z. Not to mention he sells the same item in another listing for an unbelievable low buy it now price while claiming there is only one for sale.

Thank god someone out bid me on the last mintue... :D

It would be nice if you file a complaint against him. Maybe not for you but for someone else.

if I remember correctly, you can't file a complaint unless you have won the item. but I did warn the winner regarding this list and hopefully, he investigate the seller carefully before payment

    UPDATE:

I was able to contact the winning buyer (phungx) in his other VAIO Z17 listing. The buyer said he have not receive the laptop as of today. Several emails were sent to the seller but with no reply.

So is confirmed that this seller 2008silvy is a scammer. Ppl on notebookreview should beware when he relist the same laptop again

Just for the record, afaik it's always possible to file a complaint against someone through the option 'contact us' > fraudelous offers (might be a bad translation because I'm on dutch ebay).
