what's your suggestion about quality of CR 220 series !?

Hi all,
yesterday, i bought one Laptop sony vaio CR 220 with the following features :
CPU : 2.0 Core 2 due
cache : 2MB
Ram : 2048
HDD : 200 GB
LCD : 14.1 WXGA Bright LCD
VGA : 358 MB Intel
Option : Vista / webcam

I want to know how is the quality of my laptop .
beforhand appreciate .

Everything went smoothly

Strengths: Speed of machine Style runs vista without a problem

Weaknesses: screen is to reflective Keyboard is different (square keys)

Summary: Very nice machine, setup was easy, just plug in the battery, connect to power and you are ready to go. Sony does the initialization without a problem. Have to download all the Sony and Microsoft updates to get up to date, but do not have to reboot as many times as with XP. For all the negative press about Vista, I was happy with it on this machine, no problems so far and it is fast enough for me. As fast or faster then my Pentium 4 running XP Home. I like the gaggets on the right the screen. I was able to find what I want to do in Vista with no training. Connecting to my home wireless was a snap.

Good laptop

Strengths: Compact, durable and nice built

Weaknesses: Bloatware, no dedicated graphic card

Summary: I owned a Sony Vaio SZ before, but I'd like a litt bit bigger screen so I bought this CR series laptop. I am satisfied with its compact, light weight and well built. As usual, Sony crapware slowdowns its boot-up a bit, but once you uninstalled unnecessary program, it run much faster. Al in all, I am happy with this laptop

Just bought CR220

Strengths: -Compact design, sturdy -very good battery life -nice looking -not too hot -light

Weaknesses: -too much bloatware -slow, eventhough with 2.0 gig -share memory

Summary: Overall, this laptop is ok to use with multimedia application for watching dvd, pictures, music, I like the av mode which no other brand has. The lcd technology is outstanding, no questions. However, the response speed is much slow than I expected, might be too many bloatware on it.
Recommend for average application user.

Strengths: very good

Summary: What I bought is a VIAO VGN-CR220E/L Notebook.I love it so much for its fast speed, nice color(Blue), high resolution screen, and the convenient Windows Vista Home Premium operation system... The only thing that I think is not so good is the SD slot.It's not easy to take the SD card out. But anyway, it is my favorate computer so far.

Strengths: Extremely fast

Weaknesses: touchpad

Summary: (Edited January 29th by chopper924) Although I love the keyboard, the touchpad is very stiff and has to be pushed with effort. It is very quick to load and everything else, so far, has been great. It is very light weight as well.

Great laptop

Strengths: style, performance, and very compact and light weight

Weaknesses: windows vista, too many free trials that take up to much space

Summary: This is the best computer I have gotten so far. The computer is very compact yet still packs a punch for your everyday computer needs. The only bad thing I have to complain about is the fact that Sony installed the vaio with a zillion free trials software that it took a long time to uninstall them all. Window Vista is just vista, the worst OS I have ever seen in my life. If Sony had choose to stick with Windows XP, this would have been the best laptop purchase of my life

Pretty in Pink!

Strengths: New raised keyboard keys, duo processor, Built-in wi-fi, web cam

Weaknesses: Letters and numbers are NOT lasered into the keys, start-up was slow, had to restart. Memory slot is not universal.

Summary: It's nice to see a very eye-pleasing color when you open the laptop up as well, not just on the outside. The easy to use slightly raised keys are a welcome change, though they appear cheap and the letters and numbers are not lasered into the key, they are merely STICKERS! What was Sony thinking? What happens when the stickers begin to wear off? It will be interesting to see how long they last.

Start-up was slow and generally a tad sluggish but the X3100 graphics chip appears to be the reason for this. Includes basic MS works and the usual crapware is there for the removing. There are only 2 memory stick slots 1 for magicgate, the other for SD.

A really decent laptop for general home or college use, the built-in wi-fi, web cam and crystal clear screen are great and the price, $989, made it a very good buy, if you can live with a stickered keyboard!

Vaio for Teenage Daughter

Strengths: Lightweight; ample processing power, memory, and hard disk storage; media capabilities; styling

Weaknesses: Requires separate purchase of larger battery for extended mobile use; No firewire; unwanted extra software loaded

Summary: Purchased this Vaio laptop for my daughter in high school for homework projects, internet researching, and a little fun on the side with movie and music playing. The styling was a big hit with our teenager who seems to like all things pink. Being the practical parent, I wanted functionality and durability and I think this Sony will work well in that regard. Was wary of what I've heard about Windows Vista software, but so far it has worked fine. Vista has user-friendly interfaces, parental controls, and I had no problems adding the laptop to our home wireless network and printers. This computer has plenty of speed, power and storage to be a viable workhorse for a long time. It has a media mode that allows playing of music or videos without full bootup of the computer--a nice time saving feature. We are very happy with our new Vaio and recommend it for purchase.

Powerful and Sexy Laptop

Strengths: lightening Core 2 Duo processor, big hard drive, and portable

Weaknesses: slow hard drive

Summary: It is the upgraded edition from Sony cr-120e/p with a faster Core 2 Duo processor and a bigger hard drive. It has the same sexy design and 2GB memory. Girl can easily carry it around. However, it has the same weakness as the previous edition: the hard drive runs at only 4200rpm. I don't understand why Sony puts a slow hard drive on this high-end laptop.

Great style! Good performance.

Strengths: The performance of the laptop is excellent. I also like its design, specially the keyboard that is metallic. The quality of the video in the web cam is very good.

Weaknesses: The only thing that I don't like is that the box doesn't include a recovery disks set. You have to do this set by yourself.

Summary: I recommend this laptop because its quality is great, it is fast and runs its programs well. Also, the design is original and sophisticated. I know there are cheaper laptops in the market but if you want quality for your money I recommend the Sony VAIO.

Nice Classy Color Laptop

Strengths: Perfect Size, Good Brand, Nice Color

Weaknesses: None

Summary: Size is perfect not too big or too small. Color is classy and pleasing to use. Plenty of storage space in hard drive. RAM is also good size. Another nice feather is you can play musics or movies without turning on window. It comes with Window Vista Home Premium which is easier to use than I thought. Screen quality is good.
