I do not like the 64bit win7 pre-installed with sony SVS15113FXB, there are some software compatible issues with 64bit win7.
can i install 32bit win7 with those 64bit drivers provided by sony.com? or where can i find compatible software to support sony function keys?

    thanks

You might be out of luck with the function keys All of the other drivers are available at each manufacturer website of the internal component. e.g. Intel for Management Engine, Chipset, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth. Realtek for Ethernet, Audio. Ricoh for media card slots.

For the hotkeys, my best guess would be to have a look at Sony previous S model. Since you got a 2011 model, I would go have a look in the 2010 line up. SVS1510xxxxx . But sincerely, LCD backlight, keyboard backlight, might not ever work with those old drivers, since it work directly with the firmware/BIOS of your laptop. Newer BIOS will most likely not work with older hot keys utilities.

I've had this problem with my SVS13A290S that I just bought. It came with Windows 8 and lastest BIOS. I downgraded to Windows 7, but couldn't downgrade the BIOS. Sony hot keys drivers for Windows 7 do not work entirely with my laptop. I had to install Windows 8 hot keys utilities in compatibility mode to get most of the feature working like the Stamina switch and keyboard backlight. For the LCD birghtness I had to go the third party route with this ScreenBrightness.exe utility Projects « Patrick Bader's Blog
