Just curious. I'd rather not get into discussions of Q.C. between facilities, or "what does 'made in' even mean?" etc. So let's just stick with model of vaio, & what does it say on the bottom if anyone cares to cooperate.

I just noticed the S.R. is M.I.C. & what I figured it eventually replaced (with a couple of generations in b/t I suspect), my S from years ago is M.I.J. I see Z's are M.I.J. Any others? BIgger sizes, 14", 15" etc.?

All CTO (Configure to Order) models are made/assembled in USA.
All preconfigured models, except Z, are made in China.

At any rate, the components inside are made across the globe. Japan, China, USA, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, South Korea etc.
