    which notebook, fe or bx?

    im looking at getting the fe or bx notebook. which would u guys get?

    1) What is your budget?
    up to $2000
    2) What size notebook would you prefer?

    c. Mainstream; 15" - 16" screen


    3) What tasks will you be performing with the notebook?
    use it for school, computer games (wc3, wow, counterstrike, bf2)
    4) Will you be taking the notebook with you to different places or leaving it on your desk?
    both, will carry it around, but mostly at my desk
    5) Will you be playing games on it; if so, which games?

    6) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like?
    looking at sony and dell
    7) How many hours of battery life do you need?
    doesnt matter, i can find an outlet somewhere
    8) Do you mind buying online without seeing the notebook in person?

    For your needs I would say the BX series the FE is a better laptop by far but it has a 7400 gpu which gets about 1800 in 3dmark05 while the x700 would get at least 2000. If your going to be doing alot of multi tasking I would recoment the FE othyerwise the BX is your best bet.

    i do a lot of multi tasking so the FE would be better?

    the fe has 667mhz frontside bus, while the bx has 500. is that a big difference?

    I would look at some Asus notebooks as they will offer better GPUs and build quality.
