Does anyone know how long before Newegg or a similar retailer will start selling the sony TZ? The reason is Sony charges taxes if you buy from their site and I don't get taxed on Newegg. It's a $210 savings and the laptop is expensive as it is.

if you're in the same state as newegg is based, then you will still get charged tax, only no tax for those out of state buyers. My guess is after the TZ has been out in the sony store in US for a month or more, other e retailers will start carrying it.

yeah, I'm one of those who does not get taxed

So you're saying around a month or so? Is the TZ out at the sony store? It'll actually be better if I can go see it in person beforehand.

When you do your taxes every year there's a place to put all your on-line purchases so you will get taxed, but who ever adds this info?

I suggest you read the Conics vs PriceJapan thread:

    http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=133787&highlight=conics

    It's long but worth it.

Other than Conics.net or PriceJapan.com which are the cheapest (that I know of) International shippers, there is Dynamism.com, Geekstuff4u.com or Icube.us.

If the web sites cannot help you, I'm afraid you are out of luck as I have not seen any as cheap as Conics or PriceJapan.

Jabba, yes I already ordered my TZ from Conics, :D I should be getting one by next week. But what Im saying is whether I can purchase electronic stuffs, such as HDDs, DVD drives, RAMs, etc. I know I use ebay all the time, however some items are not sold in ebay. I was looking for places like 'Amazon' (sells book world-wide), but why no for eletronic-stuffs.?
I believe big companies like Walmart still only ships within US.

Buy.com has the premium carbon 191 for 3062 with free shipping + 0 tax....amazing deal imo...especially if it comes with the supposed 200 dollar case that sonystle offers it with. It's on backorder tho so I'm not sure how long you'd have to wait.
