    Hi guys

I am thinking whether it is possible to upgrade the OS of my SZ650N/C from Vista Business Edition to 64bits Vista Ultimate ? Not too sure whether the official Vista drivers from Sony web site for my laptop are only good for 32bits or not.

Can someone shed some light for me ?

    Please kindly advise.

You can update VB 32 to VU 64, and all the manufacturers have procedures for doing so. Drivers for the most part aren't any different between the 32 bit and 64 bit Editions, except maybe with specific components. However, if your system wasn't designed and built from the ground up as a 64 bit system, you're not going to get all of the features and capability that a 64 bit system provides. So you should consider why you want to upgrade in the first place.

Start64.com is one of the best resources on the 'net for anything 64 bit. You should also check your system manufacturer's Support site and research any specific procedures they have or recommend for updating one Vista Edition to another. HP for example has specific recommendations on what to do prior to updating, along with the procedure for updating also.
