    wipping my sony n250N clean?

    so i bought a new laptop today..how do do i reformatt my harddrive to get rid of all the crap the lapt top comes with stock.. and intall a clean version of vista..

    the guy told me i can make my own disk using the laptop but i dont know how

    You don't necessarily have to use a disk, unless you want to.

    Start > Vaio Recovery > Vaio Recovery Tools > Restore complete system. This will bring your Vaio to factory settings.

    factory settings as in it will still have all the programs that the computer came with?? cuz all of the programs that come with the computer is what im trying to get rid of.. and i wanna get rid of them by wiping my computer clean not just uninstalling them

    you can remove everything you want and use an imaging program like acronis or norton to make a backup of the stuff you wanted.

    as for using a sony to make a disk, do a search on the threads. one person was only partially successful.
