The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    wireless problems on my VGN-FJ290P notebook

    I bought a Linksys wireless router a few months back and have had no problems connecting until recently. My laptop shows that it is connected to my preferred wireless network, yet I am unable to access the internet. At first I thought that it may be the wireless itself, but my other computer connects to it without a problem. I have brought my laptop to other places with wireless connection and it has the same problem there. Is there anything that anyone can suggest doing to fix this problem? I have tried as many things as I could think of to do, but have not been successful. Thank you.
