Hi, i have a FW290 CTO that is about a month old. since today, i havent been able to watch a dvd or any blu-ray movie. when i put in a dvd i got this message:

Windows Media Player cannot play this DVD because there is a problem with digital copy protection between your DVD drive, decoder, and video card. Try installing an updated driver for your video card.

so after this message, i tried to put in my dark night blu-ray disc and my intervideo BD player would not work.

    what happend?

    what do i do????

edit: when i try to run a BD it states " your display environment does not support protected content playback.

i used to be able to play the BDs...what happend?

try doing a Windows system restore to the last known date when you were able to view the discs. See if that works

Are you using an external monitor? If so, you need to turn off the laptop's lcd to watch a BD on another monitor.
