    Hi

Does anyone have experience of using an x505 with the supplied wifi card? I'm wondering what the battery life is like...

In fact, anyone know if a new x series is likely, preferably with wifi on-board (is there room!?)

I am using another 802.11g card from Belkin, since my x505/CP (Japan model) did not come with the sony wifi-card. The battery can last about 2.5-3 hr without wifi, 2-2.5 hr with wifi (I opened IE for internet, and media player for mp3 at the same time.) The screen brightness was set to 6 (full is 8). The power scheme is set by VAIO power manager. Hope this helps.

    Hi

That really helps - I expected it to be far worse than that. Damn, I may have to buy one after all... touched one on the high street yesterday and had difficulties walking away :)

I'm guessing some research may turn up a really low-power wifi card...
