Hey guys, I've discovered its possible to flash a different jedec spd profile using a tool called thaiphoon, so we can have tight ram timings even without access to the bios! Infact, corsair vengeance should run 6-6-6-16 at 1066mhz as a default SPD setting out of the box, without any hacking required. But I think that we could probably lower that even more, because in 2009 there were ddr3-8500 kingston hyperx modules rated at 5-5-5-15. If anyone happens to own that hyperx ram, could you please post a screenshot of it's SPD page in cpuz and if possible I would like to see all the additional settings: TRC, TRFC, TRRD, etc. I would like to see how low I can clock this new stuff, and those hyperx numbers might help put me in the ballpark. Perhaps we can get to CL4 or CL3 :D
