Why they just can't make some new products? May be it will cost a lot to build a new model?

If memory serves correct, the good old SZ series back in the day got a chipset upgrade from one refresh to the next (it was the 945GM Express -> 965GM Express; faster bus freqs). They even went and upgraded the 7k Nvidia to the 8k Nvidia with the SZ in between the refreshes.
However, looking into Japan they've got the Z14 ready to release. But the only difference in hardware is the ability for customers to CTO a 1TB SSD under RAID0. Everything else is the same.
...As such, I doubt they'll be implementing Sandy Bridge with the VPC-Z series.
And in regards to cost for a new lineup. That's a silly question. The company's gotta be able to commit to a new model for at least a year, two years tops.
For a company the size of Sony to churn out numerous different models in an inconsistant manner (ie, just 'make some new products') I'd say is risky business. They've gotta design a 'new model' from the ground up, offer and prep support, allocate warranty-parts and advertising. Just the first step alone is a lot of man-hours. It ain't a walk in the park...
I'd expect smaller, more inferior companies to take such risk, but corps the size of Sony? Far too dangerous financially. -
There are threads in this very forum discussing the Sandybridge "Z". Do check those threads for more info.
Basically yes there will be a Sandybridge "z" but it will be an all new "Z" Series and will come out sometime around Summer.
z14?! We need the SandyBridge, Sony!
