Why do you need to download? Install them after the clean install.

Did you try looking around on Microsoft's website? You can download all the updates for _Vista to your heart's content here.

If you don't have enough internet speed, why do you want all updates at once? download the important updates, may be 5/6 at a time.

vLite is easier but... I read somewhere that slipstreaming Vista SP1 by users is no longer supported, but you can do something similar using Sysprep and the Windows Automated Installation Toolkit:

    - Download the Automated Installation Toolkit (apologies but this site does not allow me to post urls yet)

    microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=94BB6E34-D890-4932-81A5-5B50C657DE08&displaylang=en

    - download the full admin version of Windows Vista SP1

    microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=f559842a-9c9b-4579-b64a-09146a0ba746&DisplayLang=en

    - Follow the instructions from:

    technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc766123.aspx

    Essentially what you do is:

    - Install Vista RTM
    - Boot the machine and run sysprep /audit /reboot
to reboot the machine in audit mode. The audit mode essentially is booting Vista directly into the Administrator account.
    - In the Audit mode, you install Vista SP1 and any other updates you see fit. Note that the MS doc suggests that you install the full SP1 and not the one from Windows Update. Another thing that you may want to do is to the delete the user account created during the Vista RTM install.
    - Run Sysprep /generalize /oobe /shutdown (this will remove anything specific to this machine (generalize) and configure the next boot to go to the product key and user creation screen (oobe))

    - Now you'll need a bootable WinPE CD so you can create an image from that computer

    From the WinPE environment:
    - Run VSP1CLN to remove pre-SP1 archived files. If all that you want is to clean up your Vista after the SP1 install, this is all that you need.
    - Run PostReflect.exe to ensure that boot critical files for all types of hardware are included in the image

    - Use ImageX to create your new .wim file. Note that at this point you can also use another imaging tool, like TrueImage to capture an image that can be deployed in any hardware.

    - If you don't use a custom imaging tool, then you need to prepare a custom WinPE image that installs your newly created .wim file and use the oscdimg tool to create a bootable .iso image.

I just did a slipstream with vlite just fine. Vlite 1.2 supports it.
