I assume that I can also post question related to Windows 8.1 here? Anyway, my question is.. When I close an app, like most of my app, I noticed that it is still running in task manager, so I tried to "End task" it but it won't close! Anyone has any solution or idea? This just happened recently

How long are you waiting to see if it closes? Some programs can take a minute or more to fully close out.

Moved this to the main forum since it belongs there.

How are you closing the apps, I'm assuming you're talking about the metro style apps and not desktop programs?

Those will stay running even if you drag them down or press the x to close them. They should however close completely if you drag them down and hold them at the bottom of the display for a couple of seconds, drag them to the bottom left corner or close them through end task in the task manager.

SPrime is right in that some programs take a while to fully close, I have a few like that that will not disappear immediately from the task manager's running programs/applications list.

It could also be that something isn't working properly and the program just isn't closing like it should. I've had that happen rarely, but I've seen it happen. In that case, waiting may fix it, a reboot would definitely fix it when it occurred. Those were older programs that were made before the Vista days though.
