Hi guys,
I just recognized a strange thing:
This morning, I had 24.0GB free on my system partition. I didn't work very much with the computer today and in the evening, swapped some files to my D: partition.
When I was ready, the moved files where 9.12GB in total on the D partition. So I'd expect to have around 33GB free on my system partition now (24GB+9GB).
But as I had a look, it was just 30.6GB.
That means to me, I've lost about 2GB somehow![]()
Does anyone have an explanation? I'd be OK with the usual "loss" caused by the system recovery, browser cache... But 2 Gigs in one day? Unfortunately, I didn't have a look at the free memory just before moving the files, but as I didn't do very much on the computer since I read the 24GB, it seems kinda strange to me...

When you moved the files, did you actually MOVE all of them or did some of them get COPIED?
Check you original drive to see if some of the old files are still there.
If not, I have no idea. Very Strange. -
That was also my first idea, but I checked my C drive and didn't find any of the files still on it.

about how many files did you copy?

About 600 Files in 33 Folders.
EDIT:
I now reduced the memory for system restore from 4 to 2 Gigs. Now, I've got 34GB free, but my restore points were all deleted except the last one. Shouldn't it just delete the oldest ones to meet the 2GB? Hmm, sometimes, computer do strange things... ;-)
