I was testing another GPU the other day and, as it was not working properly, I reset the CMOS battery to see if that would have any effect. The GPU still didn't work so I reverted to my old ones.
To clarify, I made sure to restore the time/date and settings in the BIOS, however since doing so i've had some strange behaviours:
HWInfo64 crashes after launch with these error codes,

Steam still runs just fine, but I get an error code on startup,

GPU-Z still seems to work just fine, but gets various errors when starting up,

As far as I know, there are no other issues I have. This feels to me like one of those times where i'm missing something really simple, but I have no idea what. The laptop is an Alienware M17X R2 for reference.

Try deleting the ini file in HWINFO installation directory.

Clean temp files and other junk and run sfc /scannow
One more thing, did you delete HWINFO 64 driver or anything using Autoruns64?Arrrrbol likes this. -
I didn't delete the driver, I just uninstalled HWInfo - haven't touched anything else. -
Did you check CCleaner Tools > Startup for any suspicious apps?
