    Dear Fellow Users,

I got my new laptop (Gigabyte U2442S) a few months ago and every once in a while I get this blue screen. I have to admit that my Windows is not from a legitimate source. I have already bought a copy of W7 Professional but I'm waiting for the delivery. In the meantime, I'd like to figure out if the problem is software or hardware related. The seller told me it's because of the Windows copy he had installed but I don't want that to influence your opinion in any way.

I'd be grateful for any insights. Thanks a lot.

    Cheers.

Looks like an issue with Intel WLAN Driver, try updating from Intel's site...

we will not advise if you are using a pirated copy of 7 as its against forum rules

as youve bought a copy that might solve the problem but download who crashed from my sig below and post the dump report.

Well, I didn't really have a choice. The pirated copy came along with the computer. In China it's pretty common... I'm waiting for the delivery of a legit copy from Europe...

PS. I'm afraid I didn't understand the last two lines of your post...

I agree with MrDJ. We aren't supposed to help with pirated software or get involved in any sort of internet piracy altogether.

That being said, it's good you're buying a legit copy of Windows 7. I get the feeling the BSOD you are having will go away when you install it. One BIG BAD thing about pirated versions of Windows, you don't know what has been modified to make the pirated copy work. Whatever was hacked could be causing the issues you are having.

my last two lines mean a legal copy of windows might stop the problem. we just dont know until you try.

also download who crashed from my sig below the link in the bottom of my post > http://forum.notebookreview.com/win...rything-you-need-monitor-your-temps-more.html

and download who crashed. its software what will show a dump report of your blue screen which the experts can read better than a screenshot of a bsod
