Do anyone know of some good backup utilities?

    Ideally, I'd like something that:
    - works (A corrupted backup isn't very useful)
    - can do incremental backups in the background
    - is free

I'm too lazy to manually do backups, or to have to reboot or otherwise leave my computer alone while it's doing a backup. So it'd be nice to have something that can do this on the fly.
I know there are tools that can do that, but the ones I'm aware of all cost a bit more money than I'm willing to spend on this. So figured I'd tap the combined wisdom of this forum. :)

may be u want to look into RSync? it is quite flexible for hand-on type users that want to undertand every aspect of system performance ;)

it is popular under OSX and Linux, but is also sought after under windows (keyword search "rsync windows") environment as well

    cheers ...
