I got a new ssd and forgot to (or didnt know rather) format it bwfore beginning the os install. Its in progress right now. Do i need to cancel and format the drive? Or did the installer automaticaly take care of that for me already?

If you can install everything is right. The OS can't be installed on a unformatted partition.
