1 Windows Update wont install in vista.

I cant seem to get 1 update to install on vista. Any Ideas? I know I can hide it from showing up but I would rather fix what ever the issue is if possable. Thanks

hmm, I checked the error code and found that you're missing certain requirements (updates). If you check this answer found here: Error :8024200D - TechNet Forums

It advises to try the 'standalone' version which is what I would have advised anyway..

well that is a problem considering that is exactly where i downloaded SP1 from. lol

This is a well know problem, have you tried manually install? This is suggested by M$ if you had problem installing through Windows Update.

Vostro, you did a manual install of SP1 or MS Update decided you have the right drivers and added SP1 in the download check? If you did a early manual update, there might lie your problem. Sometimes Windows Update sees a driver it knows is incompatible and is kind enough not to let you know:roll eyes:

not a problem any more. i did a complete new install and everything is fine now.
