A great (albeit lengthy) article; a really objective approach. Every complaining Vista user should read this.

I especially liked this part. Sound familiar?
'So why are all these idiots in computer stores drooling at the prospect? Answer: because Windows XP is a monstrous, bloated brute that requires a state-of-the- art PC and two gigabytes of hard disk space before it will even say 'hello'. This means any consumer foolish enough to want to run XP will probably have to buy a new PC.' -
Ah yes. Unfortunately, trying to run Vista on a machine that doesn't meet the requirements results in more than just performance hits.
-
Correct, but this is one point I don't particularly understand. Who can afford a copy of Vista HP or Ult and not be able to justify spending the same amount on 2 GB of RAM?

Great Article
thanks for the heads up -
Sweet find. Thanks, Bog.

Abso-freakin'-loutely! This is far and away the single best treatise on the subject. Objective, clear and concise. Very well done!

Thanks a lot, Bog...
Though I am happy with my system as it is now and after following the Les' guide here.. BUT, YES, I have bookmarked it (though I could not get the PDF file which that guy recommended, did anyone else manage to download the ZIP file and extract the PDF out of it? I got some error saying file is corrupted or something)... May be will read through again and have it for later use
Thanks again
Rep'd.
