I shut down my computer yesterday afternoon (China time), so any automatic updates that were around then would have been installed. I shut it down again about 15 minutes ago to bring it to work, and there were 14 important updates to install - 11 security updates (9 for Windows, 1 for .NET v4, 1 for IE8), an update for Windows 7 x64, the October version of the Malicious Software Removal Tool, and a client update for Microsoft Security Essentials.
That's a lot of updates to pick up in a couple hours. Did my computer's automatic update get behind and just catch up this morning, or did Microsoft actually issue all of these 14 updates within the span of a few hours?

Fat Dragon Just this guy, you know?

It's that time of the month again -- Patch Tuesday.
Even so, this was a particularly big release of patches. -
Lol ...
I had 19 of them show up on my Windows Update yesterday, with an additional upgrade to MSE (not the definitions, but the actual program itself).
-
I had 17 updates yesterday. Most probably for me, I have Office, MSE, and Visual Studio installed. So that already accounts for 12 of the 17 updates. The other 5 were compatibility fixes for some hardware devices.

14 updates today.
-
It has happened before(plenty of times) so I don't worry about it.I had 11 important updates and 3 optional.
-
Yep. It is better to have frequent and as needed security updates than to leave them on schedules. It is tough to fight against cyber attacks
cheers ... -
