EDIT: Here's the modded inf ( VISTA 32-bit only): View attachment nv_disp.zip . Works perfectly!
- Use at your own risk!
-
Gonna try them tonight!
-
Haha... nVIDIA really are release drivers so frequently that we can't keep up downloading and testing them.
-
go nuts people! and remember... post benchmarks
-
nice will try them tonight
-
Much better FPS in ATItool 3Dview!! Nice
-
Is it worth upgrading from 169.04?
-
I reformatted 2 days ago so I don't have 3Dmark installed on this machine. Please post benchmark results when you've installed the driver
FYI, I've installed with my modded inf, it works! So stop b****ing about it not being a LV2GO inf. It's the same thing. It's not so difficult to mod. You could do it as well!
Sure LV2GO does a great job. But why wait ? -
The Forerunner Notebook Virtuoso
Too lazy to try until I hear people's responses. Still working on my damn essay. Thx n0elia.
-
Thx, but that inf youve provided is vista only, I think for it to work with XP you must change the last line to what lv2go uses for xp infs.
Forerunner..that essay on some science related subject I assume.....I know what that feels like, I had to write a 4000 word essay on "attenuation due to micro and macro bending in a smf 28 optical fiber" anyway good luck -
The Forerunner Notebook Virtuoso
BB check the off topic thread I made to find out what its about.
-
I know it's for Vista only, just forgot to mention it in the post, thx
I'm too lazy to mod the others right now, maybe I'll do them later -
-
Consider yourself lucky.
-
Does this work on dekstops? because the lest time i installed one of these updates it totally farked my computer.
-
They're actually made with desktop cards in mind. That's what's so bad about nvidia, they don't make notebook specific drivers. The modded infs allows us to use the drivers on notebooks
-
It's because nvidia isn't authorised to distribute them for whatever reason
I'll be installing it now. The modded .inf is pretty easy to do if you know your mobile card's code name -
Yeah, the OEM manufacturers must develop the drivers themselves (or actually just mod the damn inf)
I may run a 3Dmark06 test later, if I have spare time. Right now my ex girlfriend is online on msn, she talks for hours and wants the damn cam to be open, jeez! -

Thanks for the results
But you need to test with standard res 1280x1024, otherwise you can't really compare with others.
Of course you can compare with your own, and that's as good as the other res. because what matters is the difference in percentage -
Your Welcome!
Yes I know that and I hate it that I can't choose the resolution!
'06 is just 1280x854 and '05 is even 1024x768...
I Could bench it with an external monitor, but I haven't got the
time to do that with every driver that's new, because I haven't
got an external monitor for my own at this place
That's why I've put the benchmarkresolutions with it!
But you're right, it's quite ****ty :-s -
3DMark06 score:
3167
In res. 1280x1024 -
where or how can i modify this inf to work on mobile xp??
169.21 released!
