Hello, i recently installed Vista Ultimate x64 and i selected the clean install option. However, when I boot, there is an option for Windows Vista Ultimate and Old Windows Operating system or something like that. My question is, How can i get rid of that OS on my hard drive without reinstalling Vista?

Find the file boot.ini, which should be on your system drive, somewheres under Windows or System32, and see what it shows for the boot options. If you're not sure what it's showing, post a screenshot of it up here and we'll take a collective look at it.

For Vista, you will need to use EasyBCD to edit it out.

You didnt do the clean install properly, you selected the option that puts your old OS in storage.

Yeah, pretty easy. Install EasyBCD > Open > Add/Remove Entries > Select the unwanted entry/OS > Delete > Save. Restart to confirm.

You can backup the current settings, in the Manage Bootloader window > Backup Settings.

Uninstall would have been better. Try reinstalling it, then uninstall, and the desktop icon should be removed automatically. Don't delete the icon manually.
