Guys please help me with this problem...it really does no damage but I am kinda sick of it.
After buying my laptop with pre-installed Windows XP I decided I don't need all of that **** so I reinstalled fresh copy of Windows...with wiping all hard-drive.
The problem is that now when i turn on computer while still in bios he asks me what software to use, and he shows Windows XP (the one I installed) and Windows XP (the old one I wiped)...when I click the old one it gives me some error log like C:/windows missing (well of course it is missing since I wiped it in reinstall).
Now I am asking you guys....how to get rid of that Windows XP (Old) which practically doesn't do anything.

Are you sure it is the BIOS asking you that and not the master boot record?
Log into the recovery console via the xp install disc and type ' FIXMBR '. -
You didnt do the clean install properly
Go to run > type msconfig > boot tab
Delete the non existing XP version -
Hmm and how can I delete it XD.
-
Sorry forgot it was XP

You can used a boot editor program to delete invalid entries. Follow http://neosmart.net/dl.php?id=1 and download EasyBCD, its a easy to use program. If you have any issues, let me know and I'll assist.
