    32 Vs 64 Bit VIsta Ultimate

    Sorry if this was already posted, but i cant find it, if some one knows any thread about this please sendit to me.

    I have Windows Vista Ultimate 32 bIT installed, but my licence can be used as a 32 or a 64, what would be the difference between this two OS pros and cons

    OK, the big difference between 32 and 64 bit OSes are the amount of RAM that it can see, ie ~3 vs lots more. Other than that, 64 bit will usually be a little bit faster in most computing cases (but not enough to be really noticeable unless it's something big like compressing a movie). Most noticeably though is the compatibilities with with software but more recently that has gotten better. So, you could always try out the 64-bit version and if there are too many things that don't work you can always go back.

    i use 64bit ult. its good, fast.. watever. But honestly, i dont see any HUGE difference between 32 and 64. For now, i would actually say stick with the 32 due to compatibility issues i have with some programs such as adaware. and other random computing programs. change to 64 wen games start to need it or u get 4 gigs of ram...
