i have vista home premium 32 bit, with a 3 GB ram and have been thinking of an upgrade. what is the diffrence between the 32 and the 64? and is 3GB ram good enough for both systems? thanks

ok but wats the diffrence between 32 bit and 64 bit. is it faster, better quality, more applications, etc?

Almost no difference. You'll want 64-bit if you have 4GB of RAM. Otherwise, there are a few stability enhancements, but also a few (small) compatibility issues. Make sure all of your hardware has 64-bit drivers.

It's kind of funny how two people provided links and the OP still asked for more information about it in the very next post. No disrespect, but you really have to be willing to do some of the legwork yourself. There have been a lot (and I do mean a lot) of discussion about the differences and similarities. Once you read some of the threads, you'll really get a good idea. My personal advice to you would be to go with 64-bit.
