Our hardware is already complianced for 64bit architecture so as far as i know, montevina wont give any advantages for 64bit.

I'm not concerned about advantage, I'm more concern with disavantages.

Again, I guess whatever doesn't work well, they will correct with the BIOS.

Yeah. People only think of speed all the time. They totally never take into account the fact that there is more to 64-bit than just a potential speed increase. I used to think the same thing before I did more research and played around with it once I made the switch.

Can someone "bottom line" this for a computer idiot such as myself plese?

I have 4gb of ram installed.........I switched to a 64 bit Vista OS specifically to see those 4gb. My reason for doing so is that my 8700M GT card has 256mb of Ram but shares system memory and I believed that allowing the system to see the additional 1gb over what x32 saw would increase graphics performance.

Will x32 in fact allocate that 1gb of ram to functions such as shared graphics memory even though it doesn't "see" it in my system.........meaning can I dump this Vista 64 garbage and go back to 32 bit and not lose performance in this area?

    Thanks!!

    Problems? Probably not.
    Issues? Very few or none.
    Performance Degradation? Of Course!

The question becomes a matter of how much would the lost 512MB+ of your RAM would cost you in performance. You'll definitely have better performance with more RAM so the question is it enough for you.

I'd recommend you jump ship and go 64bit as it is an awesome setup. You'll also get 100% of the RAM you've paid for. Buying RAM that you can't use is just asinine in my opinion.
