    Hello,

I'm thinking bout jumping to the 64 bit soon.

Can someone confirm with me that most 32 bit software would run well with a 64bit OS?

I have some older programs that I hope to still use in 64bit. Would the following work?

    Nero 6.0
    Adobe Photoshop CS
    Office 2000
    Avira Free Antivirus
    ChemBioOffice 2006
    Magic Iso Maker
    Norton Ghost 2003
    ScanSoft Paperport 8.0
    VirtualBox

    Thanks for any input.

64 bit can run almost everything 32 bit can. For the most part you don't need to worry about compatibility issues.

Anti-virus software is probably the only kind of application that will not work well (if at all) in a 64bit OS if it is 32bit software. That being said, there should still be a 64bit version of Avira you can use.
