It's so sick that MS didn't even have any information regarding this. In the system requirements it says 32-bit or 64-bit processor and 1 GB (32-bit) or 2 GB (64-bit) of RAM. So I assume that either a single DVD has both versions or the box contains 2 DVD's.

Win 7 Home Premium doesn't have "Full system image backup ability" unlike the Professional and Ultimate versions.

You can create a full system backup (Programs and everything) with Win 7 Pro and ultimate versions.

According to P. Thurott, it appears that every retail box will include both x86 and x64 disks.

Yup, the upgrade comes with both 32-bit and 64-bit disks. As fiveo pointed out, it's on MS's site.

yeah you can, keep an eye out it goes on sale from time to time for under $20 and im sure its probably much better than the built in windows stuff.

Plus they have always offered a free trail of the product that you can use.

If I have a 32-bit version of Vista Home, can it be upgraded to 64-bit Win7?

Yes, but it will have to be a clean install, and not an upgrade, since you're switching architectures.
