    Hello

I orderded Windows 7 back when they had the upgrade deal for only $50. I just heard on a review that 7 is goin to suck for games.

Can someone tell me if this is true? Is it worth upgrading now?

    Thanks for the help!

That is just a complete nonsense. DX11, excellent speed, reliability and less memory usage makes game more better and fast.
Im really enjoying gaming in 7.

win7 is better than vista for games, and in every other way (possibly).

Windows 7 uses lesser resources, thus, allow you to have better gaming performance.
Moreover, Windows 7 uses DirectX 11 which is superior than those older DirectX.
Newer DirectX allows better gaming performance too.

So far Battlefield 2, Crysis Warhead, and Counter Strike Source have worked flawlessly in W7. Minus some ATI driver issues which will get fixed soon enough.

DX11 only matters if the game supports it. Vista and 7 also both support DX9, DX10 and DX10.1.

The BIG advantage that Windows 7 has over Vista is this: http://gizmodo.com/5234169/why-windows-7-is-snappier-than-vista

    haha probably.

The review I saw this in origionally was on best buy. Thanks for all the replies! I'm excited to get this going. I'm going to make a clean vista install and do the upgrade.

this is the review its page 2 as of today in the bestbuy reviews. I was just reading them and the only time I had heard someone mention games was here where the reviewer said it wasn't good for them.

    Thanks Everyone! :)

Who told you Windows 7 will suck when it comes to games? If you know him in real life please tell him to jump off a bridge :D
Windows 7 will be extremely good to play games with. No doubt.
