    Hi all!
I'm going to be getting a new laptop (hopefully! :D ) and I'm considering getting the VISTA Business rather than the XP (which is what I have now, I don't mind it, it works fine). Only problem is I've heard that the VISTA line has plenty of bugs. Can anyone tell me a bit more about this?
    Much obliged ;)

microsoft.com can help you or atleast the usergroup of each
eventually we have to graduate from xp to windows7
so, i suggest, you try and get to know vista for a while then you migrate to win7

Can you show me an OS that doesn't have bugs? or any software?

What "bugs" are you concerned about?

I wonder where you heard that...

Vista "vanilla" on outdated hardware yes...

Vista SP1 on a modern computer - no.

For most people Vista SP1 works very well, even better than XP - just try it. Once you get your head round the odd different menu you'll never want to switch back :D

and soon sp2 will be out fully, even less bugs :) it works much more stable than xp in a good installation and can make your hw to good use unlike xp that doesn't really know what to do by itself with more than 2gb ram and multicore (i'll get flamed for that statement haha).

go for it. vista is great, so was xp. have fun with the new os, stepping up 7 years or more :)

Vista is now rock-solid. Especially with SP1 applied, which many if not all new computers are being shipped with anyway so you safe with your new eminent laptop.

SP2 is even better, even though it's still in Beta/RC stage at this point. I've tried it and had good success with it.
