There are a couple of things I would like to change in Vista but have not found yet.
1. When I select power down in the start menu, Sleep is the default option. I would like to change that to Power Off.
2. I'm coming from XP and on the XP folder tool bar, there was a button for UP one folder level. I would like to add that bottom back.
3. I use the Classic start menu, how to tell it not to put icons in the game folder or what ever when I install a game. I want it to createl a folder for the game title and put the game start short cut in there.
Thanks
Rudy

1. You can customize more settings in Power Options by changing them in the power plan.
2. No idea about this yet, but you can clicking on the previous folder in the address bar has the same effect
e.g. Hirohata -> Downloads -> Download Dump
Click on either Downloads will bring you back up one folder level, Hirohata, two levels
3. Also no idea. Seems like it was implemented into Vista. Just create folders in the start menu and delete from the Games folder if you need to. -
1. This is an easy one, but it's kinda hard to get to. Open Control Panel and click "Change Battery Settings" under Hardware and Sound (or double click on Power Options if you use classic view) to open the Power Options control panel. When Power Options appears, click on "Change Plan Settings" below the power plan that is currently selected. (High Performance, Battery Saver, Balanced, etc.) In the next screen click on "Change Advanced Power Settings." A new window should appear and in this window click the small "plus" button beside "Power Buttons and lid." Click the "Plus" sign beside "Start Menu Power Button" and change the options for when you are plugged in, as well as when your on battery. If you want every power plan to have this change, you need to switch to the settings page for that particular plan by choosing it from the drop down menu right above the list of options. Save your changes by clicking OK.
2. Windows Vista doesn't natively allow you to put the "Up" arrow back, instead you can click on the "breadcrumbs" on the address bar of an Windows Explorer window to jump back one folder level. However, you can install and add-on to Windows Explorer that will put a button back on there for you, follow the instructions here to get started: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/wind...dd-on-for-windows-vista-and-an-up-button-too/
3. This I'm unsure of unfortunately. I know that if you go into Games Explorer, you can right click a game and choose Hide to prevent it from showing up there. If you go to Control Panel and choose Programs then click Turn Windows Features On or Off and uncheck "games" from the list, that might do the trick.
Good Luck,
