After setting up my desktop with MCE 2005, I ran into a few minor questions. 1) If I have multiple codecs installed, how do I choose which one it uses? (I installed various media players. but I want Media Center to use the one provided by Powerdvd as it seems to work the best). 2) I don't have a TV turner installed, but My TV nonetheless shows up on the start up screen. Is there any way to remove it. 3) Is there a convenient way/software to watch trailer and online clips (ie Youtube)? Thanks,

codecs can be tricky business, your os puts them in a priority listing and it uses the highest priority first. I have only figured out how to change it via a program I downloaded but I totally forget what it was.

The easiest fix is if you have 2 or more codecs that play the same file type and you want only one of them is to uninstall the others, you can do that thru your control panel in windows.

I dont know the rest, I used media center only briefly in vista and didnt like it much.

Go to setting and choose not to run MCE on startup and not to be the default player.
