I realize these are n000b questions, but I know almost nothing about computers...

(1)How do I turn off the programs that are on automatically when I start up my computer? (I have an acer aspire 5570Z with Vista)

    (2) If I have my computer on for a while (over an hour), out of no-where, I can't open new tabs in internet explorer OR firefox, I can't open any new programs, and I can't right click...or do anything which would bring up a new menu. What's the deal?

    Thanks,
    FB

Go to run>msconfig>startup tab. Uncheck what you don't want starting up. Google the ones you don't know before unchecking them. Can't help with the second question.

I don't see one dealing with the speech recognition program..but it still pops up every time I turn on the computer.
