Hi I am just curious about oneeeeeeeeeeeee thing. I just received my laptop from UPS and my WEI scores are as follows:
Processor: 7.6
RAM: 7.9
Graphics: 7.6
Gaming Graphics: 7.6
Primary HD: 5.9
The HD is only 5200 RPM, but according to Lenovo, I could remove this HD at any time and install a SSD. I don't know how accurate that really is.
Stats of the laptop:
i7-3630QM
15.6" 1920x1080 screen
16GB 1600MhZ RAM
Nvidia 750M SLI 2GB DDR5 x2
1TB 5400 RPM HD

If you get an SSD your score should go up to at least 7.6
Graphics score is ok but don't trust WEI for that. Try using 3dmark 11 on performance for that.
A decent score on that is around 6000 graphics score. -
wei is a total waste of time but we all do it
im getting 7.6/7.8/7.7/7.7/7.9
as fatboyslimer said benchmarks is the way to go.
download vantage/3dmark/3dmark11 all from my sig below. lots of monitoring software there as well.
5400 hard drives are the slowest out there now so if you do get a ssd you will sure notice a difference. mine boots up and im on the forum within 12 seconds.
depending on budget the samsung are the fastest read/write speeds. my crucial is fast read but slightly slower write. still ruddy fast though. -
WEI is totally useless it's like Conan O'Brien's game rating scores....

Agreed with the other posters here; WEI is a useless measure and you'd be better off testing your system with benchmarking tools like PCMark, 3DMark, etc.
Just for reference, a SATAIII SSD should get your a 7.9 for the Primary HD score. My Intel 330 180GB is showing a 7.9 for that. IIRC, WEI is hard-coded not to allow a mechanical HDD to go above a certain score. -
Kuroi is right, the highest you can get with a HDD is 5.9. Agree with all the others, WEI is not very useful. SSD caps, as everything else does, at 7.9.

crucial m4 is 7.9 as well.
havnt they changed something with the scores and they go higher now? sure i read something about that on here. still pointless though -
