    Hi All,

I purchased a new HP dv6500t laptop online and got it delivered yesterday.

The moment i started the system for the first time, there is a thin horizontal line of about 5 to 6 cms follows my mouse cursor. It is about 3 cm below my mouse cursor.

Wherever i move my mouse cursor, the thin line follows the cursor.

I have called up the HP people. They asked me to try different options and finally they told me to do factory restore. Even then i am having the same problem.

I tried updating the touch pad driver and did whatever they asked me to do.

Did anyone experience the same problem before? Can you please help me with this?

Could it be a S/W problem or a H/W one?

Is it possible for returning the laptop and ask for a newer one?

I need ur help on this.

I forgot to add that the size of the line varies time and then and mostly flickers and some time it gets really bad.

    Thanks,
    Shahul
